People
Some of the people I mention often…
Abbie: a good friend from my old London crew. Recently joined Tiff and me in the exodus to the West.
Amy: the name of an mischievous sprite who lives in Plymouth. Periodically inhabiting the body of a woman I know, Amy is fun, dangerous, inquisitive and quite adorable.
Angel: an alias for my ex-fiancé. Long story.
Beck: a friend I know through Corinna. Beck is an artist and has a great creative mind. She’s stuck in a demoralising job though.
Charlotte: a good and long-standing friend who is a practising doctor in the UK. Loves to gossip.
Corinna: my older sister. Source of inspiration. Beautiful woman.
Constance: alias for a woman I know almost exclusively over the net. Can be extremely rude and insensitive, but also given to bouts of cuteness.
Dayve: a good friend in London. Aka “Brave”. Solid, good bloke, with amazing skills.
The Dervish: and alias for Moongazy’s husband. He is a local sufi healer and a therapist, and I am fortunate to call him a friend.
Eleanor: one of my youngest close friends, Eleanor is an intelligent and beautiful woman with a lot of potential. She comes in to Star Mountain often with her interesting (and challenging) family.
Feri: a very close friend in Hungary. Feri is an artist, with an artistic temperament, is gay, and is very eccentric. I love him a lot.
Jane: an alias for a friend I made in 2007. We see each other very rarely, but confide in each other a lot over the net. She’s a successful mother, wife and very proud housewife.
Moongazy: an alias for a good friend in Plymouth. She and her husband (alias: The Dervish) have been two of the cornerstones of Star Mountain since it opened. My life would be much poorer if they were not in it. Moongazy keeps her own blog at moongazy.weard.org.
Phil: a friend I met in my last job in London. Strange, wrinkly fellow, who can be intensely annoying, but I like him. He lived as a hippie for years, before rejecting everything. His position now depends on how he feels that day. Despite his eccentricity he’s a wise man. I know this because he sometimes agrees with me.
Robert: one of my longest-running friends. Now married to Charlotte. Very powerful brain.
Ron: an old friend of the family. Pain in the ass, but you always know where you stand with old Ronnie.
Roy: a very good friend, Londoner, and source of inspiration. Baptist minister and chaplain of the college I studied at. My brother in many ways.
The Samurai: an alias for a sensitive, Buddhist friend of mine. Highly talented artist and obsessive perfectionist.
Sara: one of the wise and powerful people I have met on my journey. Sara and I were very close for a while, and helped one anther, but it ended badly and I don’t expect to see her again.
Shane: a good friend in London, and the man who does much of my design work. Eccentric, caring, artistic genius.
Tiffany: a friend I met through Angel. Tiff ran Namaste, which was a thriving holistic centre in London. She moved to Cornwall a while ago. Very dependable and eccentrically wise. Nice bum.
